Think Make Live Youth provides empowering leadership, civic engagement, and community building programs to support the growth and success of opportunity youth.
Annual Civic Engagement Forum
The Annual Civic Engagement Forum is an event to bring elected officials and candidates who are running for elected office to join in a civic engagement discussion with local community leaders and opportunity youth.
4th Annual Civic Engagement Forum: Ending the School to Prison Pipeline.
The 4th Annual Civic Engagement Forum gives voice to opportunity youth, ages 13-24, regarding policy solutions for ending the school to prison pipeline, youth justice and any other community issues effected by today’s youth. During the program, there will be opening youth speakers and a community civic discussion with local officials, community leaders, and educators.
This event is being planned, hosted and lead by Think Make Live Youth’s Columbus Community Action Team youth leaders. The goal is to share and learn with the community:
- What is the school to prison pipeline?
- What are system leaders, community advocates and educators doing to end the school to prison pipeline?
- What resources are available within Central Ohio to support prevention for justice-involved youth?
Saturday November 2, 2019 at 2pm – 4.30pm.
